Chain Of Iron

Beskrivelse

Set in Edwardian London, Chain of Iron follows the Shadowhunters as they hunt down a deadly killer in this thrilling and romantic sequel to Chain of Gold. Written by bestselling author Cassandra Clare, this novel continues the gripping saga of love, secrets, and danger.

A tale of hidden truths and dark secrets amid a deadly hunt in London's shadowy streets.

Cordelia Carstairs appears to have everything she’s ever dreamed of-an engagement to James Herondale, the boy she’s loved since childhood, a new life in London alongside her best friend Lucie Herondale and James’s close-knit group known as the Merry Thieves, and the promise of reuniting with her beloved father. She also carries the legendary sword Cortana, a blade once wielded by a hero.

But beneath the surface, things are far more complicated. The marriage between James and Cordelia is a sham, arranged to protect Cordelia’s reputation. James’s heart belongs to the enigmatic Grace Blackthorn, whose brother Jesse tragically died years ago. The sword Cortana burns Cordelia’s hand whenever she touches it, and her father has become bitter and distant.

Meanwhile, a serial killer is stalking the Shadowhunters of London, striking under the cover of night before disappearing without a trace. Cordelia, James, and Lucie, together with the Merry Thieves, must navigate the city's most perilous corners to track down this elusive murderer.

Each of them harbors startling secrets: Lucie plans to bring Jesse back from the dead; Cordelia has sworn a dangerous oath to a mysterious force; and James is increasingly entangled in the dark legacy of his grandfather, the arch-demon Belial.
