Chain Of Thorns

Beskrivelse

In the thrilling finale of the Last Hours series, James and Cordelia face the ultimate test to save both London and their fragile marriage. Cordelia, burdened by loss and dark bonds, must confront a rising demonic threat that endangers everyone she loves.

A gripping conclusion where courage, loyalty, and love collide against a backdrop of chaos and betrayal.

Cordelia Carstairs has endured devastating losses in a matter of weeks: her father’s murder, the shattering of her dream to become parabatai with her best friend Lucie, and the collapse of her marriage to James Herondale. To make matters worse, she is now bound to the ancient demon Lilith, which drains her Shadowhunter powers.

Seeking refuge, Cordelia escapes to Paris with Matthew Fairchild, hoping to drown her pain in the city's vibrant nightlife. But her respite is cut short by alarming news from London-Tatiana Blackthorn has broken free from the Adamant Citadel, and the city faces a new menace from the Prince of Hell, Belial.

Returning to a London torn apart by chaos and suspicion, Cordelia discovers that Belial is James and Lucie’s grandfather, a secret exposed by an unlikely enemy. The Herondale family is now under scrutiny for alleged demon dealings. Torn between a love she once thought impossible with James and the possibility of a fresh start with Matthew, Cordelia struggles to protect those she cares about.

Her friends, fractured by their own secrets, seem destined to face the coming storm alone. With time running out, Belial’s deadly plan threatens to crash down on London’s Shadowhunters like an unstoppable wave, isolating Cordelia, Lucie, and the Merry Thieves from any help.

Left to confront Belial’s lethal army in the shadows of London, they must find the strength to set aside pride, rebuild trust, and unite. Their city, their families, and even their souls hang in the balance-failure is not an option.
