Chain Of Thorns

Beskrivelse

In the gripping finale of The Last Hours series, James and Cordelia face their greatest challenges yet as they fight to protect London and mend their fractured relationship. With dark forces rising, their loyalty and love will be put to the ultimate test.

A thrilling conclusion where love, loyalty, and danger collide in a shadowed London.

Cordelia Carstairs has endured devastating losses in a matter of weeks. Her father’s murder, the shattering of her dream to become parabatai with her best friend Lucie, and the collapse of her marriage to James Herondale have left her reeling. To make matters worse, she is now bound to the ancient demon Lilith, which has stripped her of her Shadowhunter abilities.

Seeking escape, Cordelia flees to Paris with Matthew Fairchild, hoping to drown her pain in the city’s vibrant nightlife. But the peace is short-lived when alarming news arrives: Tatiana Blackthorn has broken free from the Adamant Citadel, and London faces a new threat from Belial, the Prince of Hell.

Returning to a city torn by chaos and suspicion, Cordelia finds that the revelation of Belial as James and Lucie’s grandfather has put the Herondale family under intense scrutiny. Torn between her lingering love for James and the possibility of a fresh start with Matthew, Cordelia struggles to protect those she cares about.

Her friends, burdened by their own secrets, seem unable to offer support, leaving Cordelia, Lucie, and the Merry Thieves to confront Belial’s deadly forces alone. As time runs out, they must summon their courage, set aside their pride, and trust each other once more.

Failure means losing more than just their city-it could cost them their very souls.
