Lore

Beskrivelse

From the bestselling author Alexandra Bracken comes an intense tale of power, destiny, and survival. Lore Perseous has escaped a deadly ancient game tied to Greek gods, but now that game is about to start again.

A gripping story of ancient gods, mortal battles, and a fight for survival.

Long ago, Lore Perseous left behind the ruthless and lavish world of the Agon families-ancient Greek bloodlines locked in a brutal contest every seven years. This deadly game, called the Agon, is Zeus’s punishment for the gods, forcing them to become mortal for one week and hunted by those craving divine power.

Only a few original Greek gods remain; the rest have been killed by mortals who then took their place. After her family was brutally murdered by a rival bloodline, Lore escaped with one goal: to survive and honor her parents’ sacrifice.

For seven years, she has fought off dark urges for revenge against the man responsible-Wrath, a powerful god with terrifying abilities. But every seven years comes a week that changes everything, and that week is drawing near.

On the first night of the Agon, Lore returns home to find Athena seriously injured on her doorstep. The goddess proposes an alliance, as they share a common enemy. But with Wrath’s destructive power threatening humanity, will teaming up with Athena be Lore’s salvation or her downfall?
