The Fiery Cross

Beskrivelse

The fifth installment in the bestselling Outlander series takes us to 1772 in the Royal Colony of North Carolina, where rebellion is brewing. Jamie Fraser is tasked with uniting the backcountry to keep the colony loyal to the King, but his family’s time-traveling secrets complicate everything.

Jamie Fraser faces a dangerous future as rebellion looms and time-travel threatens to reveal a grim fate for his family.

Set in 1772, The Fiery Cross follows Jamie Fraser as the governor calls on him to rally the backcountry and maintain loyalty to the Crown. However, Jamie’s life is far from ordinary-his wife Claire, along with their daughter and son-in-law, are time travelers.

Jamie is painfully aware that in just three years, the shot heard round the world will ignite the fight for independence, leaving those loyal to the King either dead or forced into exile. Adding to the tension, a small clipping from the Wilmington Gazette dated 1776 predicts the destruction of Jamie’s home on Fraser’s Ridge and the tragic death of his entire family by fire.

For once, Jamie hopes that the future his family’s time-traveling knowledge has revealed is wrong. But only time will tell if they can escape the fate that seems written in history.
