Beskrivelse

When a ghost ship is found near the storm-covered island of Akinah, Navani Kholin must organize a sea expedition to check if the island has fallen to enemies. Rysn Ftori, who lost the use of her legs years ago, joins the mission to save her ailing larkin companion, Chiri-Chiri.

A daring sea voyage to a mysterious island holds the key to saving a rare creature and protecting Roshar's future.

After a ghost ship is discovered, its crew presumed lost while attempting to reach the storm-shrouded island of Akinah, Navani Kholin sends out a crucial expedition to ensure the island hasn't been captured by foes. Because the magic of knights flying too close to the island is suddenly drained, the journey must be made by sea.

Years earlier, Rysn Ftori, a shipowner, lost the use of her legs but gained the loyal companionship of Chiri-Chiri, a larkin that consumes stormlight and was believed to be extinct. Now, with her beloved pet falling ill, Rysn’s only hope for recovery lies at the larkin’s ancestral home, Akinah.

With help from Lopen, the windrunner who once lost an arm, Rysn must accept Navani’s perilous quest and brave the deadly storm that has claimed all who ventured before. If the crew cannot uncover the hidden island city’s secrets before its ancient guardians unleash their fury, the fate of Roshar and the entire Cosmere could be at stake.
