The Lost Metal: A Mistborn Novel

Beskrivelse

Dive back into Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn universe with The Lost Metal, the thrilling conclusion to the second era that began with The Alloy of Law. Follow frontier lawman turned senator Waxillium Ladrian as he confronts a dangerous shadow organization threatening the world of Scadrial.

The Lost Metal wraps up the epic second era of Mistborn, blending political intrigue, supernatural powers, and high-stakes conflict.

Waxillium Ladrian has spent years chasing the elusive Set, a secretive group responsible for kidnappings targeting those with Allomantic bloodlines. With his late uncle and sister among their leaders, the stakes couldn't be higher. When Detective Marasi Colms and her partner Wayne uncover a cache of weapons destined for Bilming’s Outer City, it sparks a new lead in the hunt.

The tension between Elendel, the capital, and the Outer Cities plays right into the Set’s hands. Their influence now extends deep into the Elendel Senate, a corruption Wax and his wife Steris have been determined to expose. Bilming itself is caught in this dangerous web, falling under the sway of Trell, a god worshipped by the Set.

Adding to the chaos, Wax stumbles upon a devastating new explosive capable of unparalleled destruction-one the Set already wields. Meanwhile, an immortal kandra serving Harmony, Scadrial’s god, reveals the growing threat of Trell’s influence. Marasi is drawn into a wider cosmic conflict when offworlders with extraordinary powers recruit her, claiming their mission is to protect Scadrial at any cost.

Now, Wax faces a crucial choice: to embrace the role Harmony has prepared for him and become the hero the planet desperately needs. If he fails to rise, Scadrial and its millions of inhabitants face sudden and catastrophic ruin.
