In 1363, Adrian is captured by the ruthless robber baron Roland Eichenthurm and forced into servitude. Trained as one of Eichenthurm’s finest warriors, Adrian guards a mysterious secret hidden within Berlin’s streets-a secret that links the Middle Ages to the present day.

Meanwhile, in modern Berlin, Liv spots a young man who stirs a strange sense of familiarity. Curious, she follows him and suddenly finds herself transported back to 14th-century Berlin, caught in a puzzling and dangerous situation.

At the heart of this mystery are alchemists who have created a dome in medieval Berlin where time stands still, granting eternal life to those inside. Adrian’s duty is to maintain this dome by regularly bringing items from the present to keep it stable. But his loyalty comes at a cost-he must obey the tyrant Eichenthurm, who threatens to strip Adrian’s mother of her eternal life if he resists. Protecting his mother is Adrian’s highest priority.

When Adrian meets Liv in the present, he discovers that the soul extraction he performed on her father years ago to sustain the dome has caused great harm. Overcome with guilt and doubt, he resolves to make things right. Together, they devise a plan to recover the father’s soul extract and aid his recovery. With Liv’s help, Adrian breaks free from Eichenthurm’s control for the first time.
