Noughts & Crosses

Beskrivelse

Malorie Blackman's Noughts & Crosses is a gripping YA novel exploring a divided society through the eyes of two star-crossed friends. Set against a backdrop of racial tension, it tells a powerful story of forbidden love and its far-reaching consequences.

A compelling tale of friendship, love, and social injustice in a sharply divided world.

Sephy is a Cross-dark-skinned, privileged, and living a life of power, yet she feels isolated and deeply troubled by the injustice surrounding her. Callum, on the other hand, is a nought-pale-skinned, poor, and deemed inferior by society, destined only to serve the Crosses. Despite their differences, they have been close since childhood, fully aware that their friendship can never evolve into anything more.

In a world where Noughts and Crosses are destined to be enemies, love between them is forbidden. But against all odds, Sephy and Callum choose each other, embarking on a dangerous path that threatens not only their lives but also the future of generations to come.

This edition includes an exclusive Q&A with Paterson Joseph, the lead actor in the upcoming BBC TV adaptation, adding an exciting dimension to this beloved modern classic.
