The Devils

Beskrivelse

Step into a dark and gripping new fantasy world with Joe Abercrombie’s latest epic adventure. Set in a Europe ravaged by plague and famine, this story weaves together monsters, power-hungry princes, and an impending elven threat that promises devastation.

A twisted tale of survival and unlikely alliances in a land on the brink of apocalypse.

In this first installment of a brand-new fantasy series, Europe teeters on the edge of destruction. Plague and famine ravage the land, while sinister creatures lurk unseen in every corner. Princes driven solely by greed pursue their own ambitions, blind to the chaos around them. Yet one truth looms large: the elves will return, and their hunger will spare no one.

Amidst this turmoil lies the secret Chapel of the Holy Expediency, hidden beneath the grand Celestial Palace. This is no ordinary sanctuary, its congregation consists of convicted monsters who have committed every sin imaginable, crossed every line, and are prepared to turn any mission into a bloody catastrophe.

Now, Brother Diaz, an unlikely and beleaguered figure, must rally these dangerous outcasts. His task? To place a thief on the throne of Troy and unify a fractured church against the looming apocalypse. When your journey leads through hell, sometimes you need the devils on your side.
