About the author

Bjarne Als was born in 1965 and began his journey in floristry at a young age. By 10, he was already helping out part-time at Country House in Fredensborg, crafting wreaths and managing the flower shop on weekends. In 1981, he pursued an apprenticeship with Erik Bering, a Royal Warrant Holder in Copenhagen. Before starting, he spent a year at business school, a decision that led him to meet Hanne, his lifelong partner, when they were both just 17.

In 2003, Bjarne took over from Erik Bering and now runs Bering House of Flowers alongside Hanne at their Copenhagen shop on Landemærket.
